I’ve produced a ton of executive interviews. Crafting the right questions is obviously an important key to getting informative and genuine content. But the main ingredient is maintaining a trusting connection with each interviewee; because no two are the same. 

I like to spend time setting up the right rapport before the interview. I take note of their genuine smiles, facial expressions and senses of humor. Because there’s always some answer that needs multiple takes; which invariably causes a drop in their energy level and slight changes in expression and delivery. It happens to the best. And when it does, it helps to be able to lighten things up in a way that resonates with each individual. I produced the interviews below as part of a program I managed for one of my amazing BI Worldwide clients.
